“As a nation, we need to reduce our dependence on foreign oil and reduce CO₂ emissions. Ethanol is a very clean-burning fuel that can provide a viable substitute for gasoline. We need to evaluate the various sources of ethanol---forests, switch grass, and corn, to determine which is most energy-efficient and most advantageous socially, economically, and environmentally over the long-term.”
